Happy 9th birthday Yooki

 Your birthday began with nana blowing balloons and decorating the house.
This is the first party where we ordered sushis for everyone. You watched Kiki's Delivery Service and tehn we came up for cake cutting and papa ordered enough chinese for 100 people for 15 girls party so we have been eating chinese everyday.

Happy 9 my sweetest child. You are such a joyful, kind, calm, thoughtful, sensitive, emotional child with dense inner world. I love how you have this year pushed yourself in sports (basketball) and outdone so many milestones. You are the best big sister any brother could ask for, best little sister and doggie could ask (u stil call yourself middle child), you are indeed a best friend any girl could ask. But for me you are the best daughter any mother could ask. You are all my prayers answered in the most delicate and beautiful way, all the magic of this world contained in one tiny heart. 

You have shown so much strength this year and held me and your father strong after losing our sister juno. You  made room for your brother in our inner world without a shade of jealousy- so many times just asking me to hold your hand from far away when I would sleep with the baby. 

I worry so much you are too giving for this world and yet I see you so content and happy with your act of giving. No wonder God also gives you in abundance. 

 Your sense of rightness and sincerity makes me very proud. I love your sense of empathy for all people including animals. You always watches everyone’s back even when they are not there- won’t even let me crack harmless  jokes saying “mumma it’s not the right thing to do”. You are always really really before time (and I thought I was the before time person).

I love your patience, love how you can spend hours on a problem, either maths, or playing flute, or drawing, or clay things or any craft.. even now you have been making clay and painting it for past 3 hours. Quietest 9th birthday girl. 

People like you make the best teammates when they grow up and become the strong spine of the team. And people like you are capable of making this world a better place in the best possible way. Happy Birthday.
