Try to embrace discomfort

Comfort in learning is a paradox. We can't become truly comfortable with a skill until we've practiced it enough to master it. But practicing it before we master it is uncomfortable, so we often avoid it. Becoming a creature of discomfort can unlock hidden potential in many different types of learning. Summoning the nerve to face discomfort is a character skill – an especially important form of determination.

It takes three kinds of courage: to abandon your tried-and-true methods, to put yourself in the ring before you feel ready, and to make more mistakes than others make attempts.

Accelerating learning requires being brave enough to use our knowledge as we acquire it. We don't need to get comfortable before we can practice our skills. Our comfort grows as we practice our skills.

It was a very weird night2

-  two days ago prithvi had a nightmare and suddenly started crying. No amount of consoling worked. And then I started kissing him and he calmed down. He held on to me tight as he slept most of the night.

Yooki had written a letter - "mama sleep in the middle" as I returned home by 9 (slightly late from a horror movie) as i sleep with prithvi more and poor yooki sleeps in the corner. But actually she was the one who slept in the middle and i was falling off trying to fit in. Then I tried to go towards yooki to sleep and prithvi woke up and my whole night was sort of a musical chairs consoling and sleeping with both.

I have discovered magnesium salt in bathtub and that helps me with all the soreness of no proper night sleep. I have realized health comes before almost everything in life. Even your key relationships. Priortize your personal health at all cost.

Workwise - I have a big hit but still so confused about future projects - i guess nobody wants to make my stories or people who want to make my stories are strangely giving me mean vibes. And others are also not fully confident.

I am writing 3-4 stories right now and i hope one of them get made sooner. Atleast i hope firefly gets made - noone has faith in that one but i do. But I have to crack narrating and selling it. Maybe I will write the screenplay and that might help. 

Yooki has been playing hot cross buns in flute and obsessed with it. Prithvi loves going out. Now that this blog is for both prithvi and yooki  - i dunno whom to call "you" - maybe i will call u both you and it can be a game for you guys to decipher whom the "you" is meant for.

Spend a little time each day thinking about the highest leverage activity available to you.

Sharing some pics -  Me on a red carpet - pathetically low res pic - just resharing old pics of you two which i think we should frame...yoo always video calls me many times when i am out at meeting or work so good to have that documented for future embrassements. and this is prithvi true to his motehrs nagpur roots with a big bag full of paani poori zenish mama and my friends got. Also we all saw Matrix so now sometimes I call Prithvi Neo. 

Also (speaking in one breath) - yooki has pnemonia, prithvi has croup and i busted my knee but life is beautiful <3 - especially coz saurabh is working from home these 3 months so i see him all the time around us and i am struggling sorting next project and all that but i get to swim and take salt baths and eat good food and invite friends.

Recipe for hot days


Yooki u were unwell so we got u early exit from school- right now, you're lying down, you have had the worst stomach, ache and fever whole night. You have also vomited multiple times.
I hope you get better soon. I wanted to share this recipe for you. I think it's high in probiotic also

In Soaked chia seeds add lots of yoghurt, 


  • In a bowl take soaked chia seeds add 3/4 cup curd add 1/4 cup water to make it more liquid & mix well
  • Add 1 grated cucumber some coriander leaves and 1 green chillies
  • Now roast the oats and prepare the tadka (For tadka take oil in pan add mustard seeds hing, urad dal ,peanuts, cashews, dried-red chillies roast everything well & in the end add the curry leaves .
  • Now add the roasted oats and tadka in the prepared mixture mix well and garnish it with coriander leaves and enjoy
